Lolita: When it comes to our show suggestions, they are all meat and no potatoes. Rita: Being a vegetarian, I find that expression offensive. What’s wrong with potatoes? ERIN HARPE releases her Delta Blues Duets CD on Thursday, 4/3 at the Alchemist Lounge (in JP)—the duets are with her dad, NEIL HARPE. *** COROLLA DEVILLE headlines the bill at Church on Friday, 4/5. *** DAN ZANES & FRIENDS do four shows at the Somerville Theatre on Friday-Sunday, 5/4-4/6—don’t expect anything like Dan’s previous band, THE DEL FUEGOS; he does cool music for children now. *** On Wednesday, 4/9, the DENNIS BRENNAN BAND shakes up the Lizard Lounge. *** SAL BAGLIO’s URBAN CARAVAN is at the West End Theatre in Gloucester on Friday, 4/11. *** Lolita’s Lovefest on Saturday, 4/12 at the Cantab has turned into quite an orgy of the absurd with THE RUDDS, SGT. MAXWELL’S PEACE CHORUS, I HAVE EARS, and BOSTON TYPEWRITER ORCHESTRA. *** Same night, LONESOME JUKEBOX releases their CD at the Garibaldi Club in North Plymouth, MA. *** MUCK & THE MIRES release a new 4-song 10” vinyl EP on Friday, 4/18 at the Middle East. TOP HEAVY releases their CD at that same party. *** Same night DAVE ARRONOFF releases Dead Bird for Dinner at the Plough & Stars. *** And again on 4/18, GLADIOLA releases There is No Road at the Midway. *** The MassCann benefit is on Saturday, 4/19, at the Middle East with rockin’ bands and an unplugged ROBBY ROADSTEAMER. *** On Thursday, 4/24, AXEMUNKEE is part of a psychedelic music night at PA’s. *** BIG DIPPER reunites at the Middle East Downstairs on Saturday, 4/26. *** For our all-age readers, the finals of the Rock Showdown at the Natick Center for the Arts is on Sunday afternoon (1:00-5:00) 4/27. *** On Tuesday, 4/29, JIMMY RYAN opens the show at Johnny D’s. Lolita: Did you know that a local band has a song called “Ghost of Jimmy Ryan”? Be the first to name that band and win a free pass to Lolita's Lovefest! Rita: I know the answer! Lolita: Well, I do too. But all you really need to know is that this lovefest will be the lovinest ever
