THE RAGING TEENS throw a Holiday Hoedown at T.T. the Bear’s on Saturday, 12/5. *** Same night GENE DANTE & THE FUTURE STARLETS light up Church. *** On Tuesday, 12/8, AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER releases the One at the Loft in Harvard Square and will donate $1 for each CD sale to Children’s Hospital. *** FREEZEPOP executes their electronic pop at the Middle East Downstairs on Friday, 12/11. *** Same night FRANK BOOTH’S CAR releases their CD at the Dodge Street Grill. *** On Saturday, 12/12, THE VARMINTS explode at the Cantab. *** Boston area’s best songwriter, CHANDLER TRAVIS, does his Christmas Cavalcade benefit on Thursday, 12/17, at Johnny D’s. *** Friday, 12/18, has THE LIZ BORDEN BAND at the Cantab. *** Same night at Johnny D’s catch THE COACHMEN. *** It's also opening night for ULTRASONIC ROCK ORCHESTRA at the Regent Theatre (the show runs for three consecutive nights). *** THE KONKS bang it around at Great Scott on Saturday, 12/19. *** Same night in Haverhill, MR.E .FLOYD pays tribute to Pink Floyd at the Chit Chat. *** On Sunday, 12/20, HARRY & THE POTTERS host their fifth annual Yule Ball downstairs at the Middle East (doors at 5:00pm). *** Later that night FANTASY MIRRORS are smashing at Zuzu. *** Our favorite soul band, THE CHICKEN SLACKS, is at Johnny D’s on Saturday, 12/26. *** THE UPPER CRUST lets them eats cake on New Year’s Eve at Church. *** TIGER SAW plays Great Scott on Thursday, 1/7. *** SANS NOMENCLATURE, ANDERSON MAR’s new band is at the Cantab on Thursday, 1/14. *** On Friday, 1/22, GEORGETOWN FATS & THE GROWLERS play Uncle Eddie’s. RIP: ALEX LOB (49) drummer and founding member of O Positive passed away on 10/20/09 from difficulties brought on by diabetes.
